Precision Cleaning for Medical Manufacturing: Guyson’s Ultrasonic Solutions
In medical manufacturing, cleanliness is critical. From implants and surgical instruments to optical components and dental equipment, manufacturers require cleaning processes that deliver consistent, repeatable results without compromising delicate and complex components.
With more than 85 years of experience developing surface finishing and cleaning technologies, Guyson offers a comprehensive range of ultrasonic cleaning solutions engineered to meet the demanding requirements of medical manufacturing.
Ultrasonic Cleaning Technology: Precision at Every Stage
Guyson’s ultrasonic portfolio ranges from compact manual cleaning baths through to fully automated, multi-stage precision cleaning systems, providing solutions for differing applications at all stages of production.
The GUK range of ultrasonic baths can be used for applications including the cleaning of medical instruments, implants, glassware and syringes prior to sterilisation. For more specialised applications, Guyson’s Ultrasonic Clean-Rinse (UCR) systems provide precision cleaning and rinsing capabilities, suited to applications such as medical stent cleaning.
Microsolve: Advanced Precision Cleaning for Medical Components
For applications demanding a higher level of process control, the Microsolve range provides a high-end, fully automated ultrasonic solvent cleaning solution designed for precision cleaning of components.
The Microsolve Mono-Solvent system combines ultrasonic cleaning, vapour rinsing and freeboard drying into a controlled three-stage process utilising a single solvent. For applications involving heavier contamination, the Microsolve Co-Solvent system adds a secondary solvent for more powerful cleaning, alongside an ultrasonic rinsing stage to create a four-stage cleaning process.
The combination of ultrasonic cleaning and solvent technology provides an effective solution for removing oils, greases, particles and other contaminants from complex components, making the Microsolve well suited for a range of precision manufacturing applications.
Microsolve systems incorporate numerous features designed to maximise cleaning performance whilst controlling solvent consumption. Triple-coil reflux cooling, vapour break technology and a 150% freeboard ratio help reduce solvent loss and support predicable operating costs. Automated handling options can also be incorporated, helping manufacturers achieve consistent processing from component to component whilst also increasing production throughput.
Cleaning chemistry matters
The choice of ultrasonic equipment is only part of the equation, selecting the correct chemistry is equally important when developing an effective precision cleaning process.
Through their partnership with Inventec Performance Chemicals, Guyson provides access to a range of modern precision cleaning solvent compatible with Microsolve systems, including PFAS-free PROMOSOLV solvent solutions. This combination of leading equipment and chemistry allows Guyson to develop cleaning processes tailored to the specific component, contamination and process requirements of individual applications.
Test it. Prove it. Process it.
Guyson’s test & evaluation facilities provide customers with the opportunity to trial their own components using a range of systems before committing to their choice of equipment.
The ultrasonic test facility includes Microsolve Mono and Co-Solvent systems alongside other Guyson ultrasonic cleaning equipment, allowing customers to compare processes, evaluate cleaning performance and establish the optimal solution for their application. Rigorous trials and process development allow manufacturers to move from testing to a validated, repeatable production ultrasonic cleaning process with greater confidence.

Guyson Microsolve makes its US debut
Last month the Guyson team travelled to the IMTS 2026 show in Chicago, to launch the Microsolve range to the US market through our sister company Guyson Corporation of USA.
The Microsolve received a great reception from visitors to the stand, with many leading companies interested in how ultrasonic cleaning can revolutionise their production processes.
