Last week, Guyson International had the honour of hosting the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith at their Skipton manufacturing site.
During the visit, the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire met with key members of the leadership team, toured Guyson’s advanced manufacturing facilities, and gained first-hand insight into the company’s operations, innovations and growth strategy. The visit also provided an opportunity to reflect on the outcomes of the Dubai Airshow 2025 exhibition and the tangible benefits delivered through the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Get Exporting Grant.

It was great to meet Mark and the team and hear how they've used our Get Exporting programme to generate more business around the world.
One of the most notable outcomes from Guyson’s exhibition at Dubai Airshow, and bolstered by opportunities presented from last year’s UK-India Free Trade Agreement, has been the successful appointment of their new distributor, Blastera India. With expertise rooted in decades of technical heritage, Blastera are a trusted manufacturer and supplier of advanced shot blasting technology, demonstrating a shared commitment for delivering industry-leading quality and service, across India.
The grant received from the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority was instrumental in elevating our international profile. It enabled us to showcase our capabilities, alongside our global representatives and Middle East distributor, launch our Global Aerospace Initiative and unlock new opportunities for growth across the region.
The visit not only celebrated Guyson’s past success but also highlighted how strategic local support can enable SMEs to innovate on a global scale. Building on this momentum, Guyson is accelerating its expansion into key international markets and strengthening its global presence, following the successful appointment of Euroblast Middle East and Blastera India, last year.
