EB1 – Endless Belt Tumble Blast Machine for Automated Batch Finishing
The EB1 Endless Belt Tumble Blast Machine is designed for automated batch blasting of small to medium-sized metal components. Using a continuously rotating rubber belt, components tumble evenly through the blast stream to achieve consistent cleaning, deburring, deflashing and cosmetic surface finishing results.
EB1 Endless Belt Tumble Blast Machine Features
Siemens PLC HMI control panel.
Optional window guard to enhance wear resistance.
6mm multi-ply tear and abrasive resistant rubber belt, driven by a variable speed motor.
Four Guyson Model 900 blast guns, mounted on a fully adjustable support arm.
Post-blast air wash to remove any residual blast media and dust.
The EB1 Endless Belt Tumble Blast Machine is well suited to a wide range of production volumes, component geometries, finishing requirements and industrial applications.
Designed to maximise productivity, Guyson’s small parts batch tumble blasting machine combines fast cycle times with a generous load capacity and flexible process control.

Key Benefits
Discover four standout benefits that come from using an automated tumble blast machine for your surface finishing operations.
Consistent Batch Processing
Every component receives an even blast finishing, from continuous tumbling, and in a fraction of the time.
Reduced Manual Labour
Automated blasting increases throughput and reduces operator intervention.
Improved finish quality
Tumble blasting produces consistent and repeatable surface finishing, essential for operations at scale.
Cost Effective
High-volume processing reduces finishing cost per part and manual operating costs.

FAQs
What is an endless belt tumble blast machine?
An endless belt tumbleblast machine automatically blast cleans batches of small metal components by tumbling them through a controlled abrasive stream.
What components can be tumble blasted?
Typical components include:
- Fasteners
- Castings
- Machined parts
- Springs
- Pressings
- Forgings
What are the typical applications carried out by a batch finishing machine?
- Cosmetic finishing of non-ferrous castings
- Removal of light burrs and scale from die-castings, forgings and other alloy components
- Pre-treatment of metal prior to coating or rubber bonding
- Cleaning and preparation for reconditioning auto parts
- Glass bead peening
- Deflashing thermoset plastic mouldings
Is automated tumble blasting only for large manufacturers?
No. Whilst large producers benefit most from the throughput, smaller operations are increasingly adopting the tumble blast method too. Guyson range of tumble blast systems, from the T40 & T50 tumble baskets, to the EB1 endless belt system, provides smaller manufacturers flexibility for diverse production volumes, batch sizes, and methods of tumbling the parts.
Which industries use tumble blasting?
Typical industries include:
- Aerospace
- Automotive
- Medical
- Fastener manufacturing
- General engineering
Can recipes or process settings be stored on a tumble blast machine for repeatable production?
Yes, the intuitive HMI/PLC interface, integrated into the tumble blast systems, gives operators complete control over the blasting process, allowing them to create, edit and store recipes, as well as adjust blasting speed, belt speed and cycle duration to deliver their desired results.
What is the difference between tumble blasting and manual blasting?
Compared to manual finishing, automated tumble blasting delivers more consistent results, higher throughput, improved operator safety, lower cost per part and built-in quality control for repeatable production.
What is the difference between tumble blasting with a basket and an endless belt?
Both processes automate the blast finishing of high-volume small metal components however they use different methods to tumble the parts.
Tumble blasting with a basket involves a rotating perforated basket to expose the components to the blast stream, whilst endless belt tumble blasting uses a continuously rotating belt to gently tumble parts beneath the blast stream.
