This year sees the 100th anniversary of the founding of The Hansen Manufacturing Company, the makers of the original Hansen quick-release coupling. Since the invention of the quick-coupling concept by Fred Hansen in 1915, the Hansen product has been developed into one of the most comprehensive and effective ranges of quick-release couplings available, setting industry standards along the way.

Hansen couplings have a world-wide reputation for technical performance, reliability and long service life. With over 3000 available configurations, the Hansen range offers great flexibility to system designers in solving many hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid handling applications.

In 1939, Guyson made an agreement with Hansen Manufacturing Company to market and distribute the Hansen coupling range in the UK and Ireland. After more than 75 years of continuous trading, this long-standing distribution agreement is still in place. The Hose and Couplings Division of Guyson carry comprehensive stocks of Hansen couplings for same day despatch and can offer technical advice and assistance in selection of suitable Hansen couplings, hose assemblies, adaptors etc., for customers specific applications.
