RXS1400 - Automated Blast System
RXS1400 - Automated Blast System
The Guyson RXS1400 - Automated Blast System is the largest 'standard' indexing rotating turntable machine that Guyson manufacture (though we do make larger automated blast systems) and it is equipped with six evenly spaced revolving work spindles, which index through the process areas presenting the components accurately and for a precise amount of time in front of the blast guns and air wash.
Product Details
Blasting takes place at two of the six spindles, which are positively driven by a toothed belt to ensure an even blast coverage during the rotation of the component. Components can be either manually, pick and place or robotically loaded and unloaded depending on volumes, handling complexity and subsequent operations.
A suction or pressure fed media delivery system, media separator and dust extraction system make up a complete installation and these items are specified to match each specific application.
A typical Multiblast RXS1400 system may include:
- 6 x Model 900 Blast Guns complete with electrical solenoid switches allowing individual blast guns to be selected to suit the application.
- Blast guns mounted on adjustable mounting blocks so that the angle of blast and stand-off distance can be adjusted to give optimum coverage of the component.
- Blast guns secured to a vertical traversing gun drive - for taller components
- Pneumatic doors cover the component entry and exit ports, doors synchronised to the blast cycle to minimise dust escape
- Reverse Jet Pulse Cleaning Dust Collection Unit may be fitted with a secondary HEPA14 filter, back-flap, and Hoerbiger explosion relief valve or fire suppression device (depending on application)
- HMI/PLC control systems with graphic interface
Prospective users of Guyson automated blast finishing systems are encouraged to submit sample components for free feasibility testing in the company’s extensive Component Finishing Centre at Skipton, England.

Shot Peening
Controlled shot peening is regularly specified by the aerospace, automotive and nuclear industries to enhance component service life.
Grit Blasting
Grit blasting by definition tends to be undertaken using angular abrasive grit such as Aluminium Oxides as opposed to 'bead blasting' which is more used as a term when using...
Shot Blasting
Shot blasting is another term, such as sandblasting, that is often used as a generic term for various types of blast finishing such as bead blasting, grit blasting and sand...
Bead Blasting
Bead blasting is the operation of propelling, typically with compressed air, a stream of abrasive material (blast media) against a surface to affect the surface finish.
Turbine Blades
Guyson offer both manual and automated machine options for grit blasting and shot peening turbine blades.
Automotive
Our surface cleaning and finishing products are utilised at every level of the automotive pipeline, from garage maintenance all the way to Tier 1 manufacturers and Formula 1 race teams.
Cosmetic Finishing
Whether you are addressing minor surface imperfections, replacing an inconsistent manual blasting operation or streamlining a high-production process, we can help.
